5 Things I’m Lovin’ on Friday (Part Deux)

Oh Hayyy!Β  It’s Friday again! Love me a good 4 day week. It was a wild and crazy week, so I’m ready for some weekend in my life.

Here are the 5 bestest things I’m lovin’ this week:

1. My Grill

Screen Shot 2014-05-29 at 9.11.43 PMZOMG how did we live BG (Before Grill)??? We have used it pretty much every day this week and made so many yummy things! Get ready for a huge influx in in F&S Grill Master Recipes! It’s super awesome. You should buy one.

3. Pull-Ups

I’ve set a new goal to be able to do REAL pull ups by the end of summer. That shit is hard! So far I’m working on “negative pull-ups” which consists of standing on a box and jumping up into pull up position above the bar, then slowly lowering myself back down to the box. This sounds super easy, but it’s not…and I was sore for an actual week. Here’s a great article about the progression of pull-ups and correct form.

4. The Good Bean roasted chick peas

these bad boys came in my most recent Klutch Box and holy smokes (see what I did there?!) they’re good. Crunchy, smokey, a little spicy…nom nom nom all day long.

5. Besties.

I know what you’re thinking. “Who are those gorgeous supermodels?!” Oh, stop! Just my gorgeous besties and me at Beth’s wedding a year ago (omg a year ago! Beth’s the one in the wedding dress, btw). I am SO lucky to have the world’s best best friends, and although we now live in 4 different states, we remain super close. Rachel (second from the right, Leah is all the way to the right) is coming to visit this weekend and I am beyond excited…because next weekend we’re all going to Indiana for her bridal shower! HOORAY! More weddings! More reasons to celebrate! More reasons to love my life :) Don’t be jealous, I’m sure your besties are super cute too…(#awkwardforyou).

  1. That’s a great way to work up to doing real pull-ups! That article has some great tips. And I looooove roasted chickpeas, but haven’t seen that brand before. I forget the name of the brand I buy at Whole Foods, but I love Bombay Spice and Chipotle flavors. I also have a couple recipes pinned in case I decide to try it out myself sometime. They are a great alternative protein snack!

  2. We love our grill as well and use it constantly! I don’t know how we would live without it!

    I have also always wanted to be able to do a pull up and am not even close. I will have to check out that article! Thanks for sharing!
