This week, I mostly did old workouts, which is why I did not post much. Yesterday, I worked out with my fab client and friend, Jess, at her gym. I’ve been pushing her to lift heavier weights, despite her own judgement, and this way I was able to show her how heavy she (and I!) could really lift. Every time I handed her a weight, she threw me a “WTF” look, but then completed all the reps with an appropriate amount of effort. I’m so proud of her and her progress! Girlfriend is one hot mama! Now she can see how silly those little pink 2 pounders really are.
Here’s the workout we did together. It is a full body, giant set style workout. Giant sets are done by completing all exercises back-to-back-to-back with no rest. Complete each giant set 3 times through before moving to the next. Rest 1 minute between giant sets.
In other news, last night someone smashed my car window and stole my NASM backpack…complete with all of my resistant bands, Nalgene bottle and TRX. Pretty much my entire arsenal of home workout equipment. GREAT. Although, it gives me a little satisfaction knowing that the jerk that stole it was probably looking for a laptop or something more valuable…and now is forced to exercise. Joke’s on you, derelict! (Ok, I know s/he probably just ditched it somewhere, but a trainer can dream!)
This week will (hopefully!) be quiet. I’m looking forward to doing some cooking and new workouts…so be on the lookout for blog posts!
