About Me

Welcome to Flex and Shout Fitness! I’m Rebecca, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and licensed Speech Language Pathologist. I am documenting my life in recovery from an eating disorder and on a journey to fitness!

I live just outside of Boston and during the day I work as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist and after school I work as a home-based Certified Personal Trainer. Additionally, I volunteer at the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association in Massachusetts (www.medainc.org) where I co-lead support groups for women in recovery. My passion is helping women find a balance between fitness, nutrition and lifestyle to lead a life filled with happiness, freedom and recovery.

I am a self-proclaimed goofy, cat-loving, curly headed weirdo. Embrace it, because there’s going to be a whole lotta that on this blog.

Please contact me for more information regarding training packages, consultation, or if you just wanna chat 🙂

Thanks for visiting! You can also check me out on the HuffPost Blog for more workout tips.

  2. Hi Rebecca! Just found your blog through our GGS page. I was so excited to see that not only are you into health and fitness and a personal trainer but also an SLP! ME TOO! Well, not a CPT yet, but I do teach group fitness and I am a medical hospital based SLP as well. We’ll have to share notes sometimes. Can’t wait to explore your blog.
